The company is looking for an accomplished

Mechanical Design Director

to lead their mechanical design strategy. This role is central to developing innovative, efficient data center solutions and involves overseeing the full design process, from concept to completion. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership : Take ownership of the mechanical design lifecycle, driving safe, sustainable, and scalable solutions across all phases. Customer Collaboration : Partner with clients to create tailored solutions and refine the company’s core design standards. Efficiency Focus : Prioritize energy-efficient practices, working closely with internal teams to align designs with budget and timeline goals. Vendor Management : Oversee external design consultants and vendors, ensuring that every project meets rigorous quality standards. Candidate Profile: Technical Expertise : Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (Master’s preferred) or 10+ years of experience in mechanical design within industrial or commercial settings. Deep Industry Knowledge : Proven experience with data center systems, including air handling, fluid distribution, heat exchange, and more. Project Management : Skilled at managing complex, mission-critical infrastructure projects and coordinating effectively with cross-functional teams. Preferred Background: Experience with large data centers across Europe. Advanced knowledge of water systems, preconstruction, and team leadership within a technical environment. Location : Dublin or London is preferred, with flexibility for remote work and up to 50% travel across Europe.
