We have an exciting opportunity to work with a specialist Nuclear Engineering business who design, manufacture, and install plant and equipment.
Working 4 days a week Mon - Thurs, 9.5 hours per day with extra hours available on Fridays, you'll be in the office just 2 of those.
With roles at various levels: Mechanical Design Engineer, Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, and Principal Mechanical Design Engineer, if you've got experience in either the Nuclear or Defence industry and have worked with Inventor, this would be an excellent opportunity for a long-term contract with a business that has an order book that continues throughout 2025!
Key Responsibilities: Develop design concepts, layouts, and detailed engineering documentation. Ensure designs conform to British and European standards and meet client requirements. Lead a small team of design engineers or work independently, as required. Produce design justification reports that address technical risks and safety concerns. Manage designs within the constraints of project schedules and budgets. In return, you'll receive a base salary of between £38 - £60 (ltd or umbrella) per hour depending on experience. Nuclear or Defence background is essential.
