A world-class medical device supplier with a lucrative product range is rapidly expanding the organization. As a result, they're looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team. Significant investment has enabled the company to acquire new businesses and grow the brand worldwide. The product range is established throughout the UK, Asia, America, Mexico, Europe, and more, with plans to branch out further next year, making it a great time to join this lucrative organization.

Role & Responsibilities:

Product design and development of medical devices from concept to market release Compile DHF (product design, specifications, DFMEA, design testing, verification, validation, usability) Lead project actions in the UK and Manufacturer (design transfer) Provide engineering requirements for ECOs Maintain allocated legacy DHFs Verification and validation of components and assemblies (ISIR and appropriate testing, as required) Record all formal and relevant informal engineering information in the PLM system Modification/amendment of new/existing drawings in accordance with design standards Other reasonable duties as requested by your manager

Knowledge, Skills & Experience: Problem-solving techniques (i.e., DFMEA / Risk Analysis) Experience in compilation of usability engineering files Experience working as a Design Engineer within a manufacturing environment Design requirements of extruded/moulded parts Understanding of ISO13485:2003/MED DEV 93/42/EEC and/or FDA regulations Experience of working with a Product Life-Cycle Management System and/or working with an ERP System is highly desirable
