MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER

SALARY:
GBP32,000 - GBP38,000 + TRAINING + BENEFITS
Due to an expansion within the business, my client is looking to add to their skilled design team with the addition of a Mechanical Design Engineer.
We are looking for an ambitious Mechanical Design Engineer. If you're a driven & highly motivated person wishing to craft out a successful and rewarding future in what is a truly unique environment, this could be the role for you.
THE ROLE:
Preparing design briefs, detailed specifications and BOM's to meet customer requirements. Working on complex custom design projects using Solidworks, including 2D and 3D model generation. Design and draughting using AutoCAD and Solidworks Software. Selecting appropriate materials, section sizes, and components. Regularly updating customers on progress. Working autonomously at times, reporting back progress to internal stakeholders. Working closely with the Project Management Team to overcome any design challenges during project execution.
THE PERSON: 3 years experience as a Design Engineer OR Senior Draughtsperson. Degree or HND/HNC in Mechanical Engineering. Competent with both Solidworks and AutoCAD. Experience in design for manufacture. Willingness to learn FEA and 3D structural stress analysis.
