An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Principal Design Engineer to lead a team in the development and production of innovative scientific instrumentation. The role involves overseeing the entire product lifecycle, from conception to production, while driving creative solutions and ensuring technical excellence. This is a key leadership position within a company known for its cutting-edge technology and commitment to quality.

Job Responsibilities

Lead the design and development of advanced automated instruments Responsibility for own projects from concept to inception, as well as development projects Conduct design reviews and suggest/implement engineering improvements Collaborate with production and supply chain teams to transition prototypes to production

Skill Required

Mechanical Engineering degree and circa 5 years' experience in Design Experience in manufacturing processes, including CNC, 3D printing, and sheet metal Hands-on problem-solving approach and proficiency in SolidWorks (preferred) Worked on simultaneous R&D design projects, working to tight deadlines
