Mechanical Design Engineer required to join a well-established Manufacturing company that specialise in manufacturing machinery. The successful candidate will have previous experience using Solidworks and AutoCAD or similar 3D software.
Mechanical Design Engineer Job Overview Creating a wide variety of designs for machinery products. Design & build components to customer specifications. Create final assembly, machining drawings and modifying & improving existing designs using SolidWorks and AutoCAD. Ensuring designs are safe to build as well as cost effective. Provide technical support to the shopfloor and site installation teams as and when required. Run your own project with minimum supervision. Follow all set drawing office procedures. Generate part list/BOM's. Ensure all designs & part lists are released in a timely manner to an agreed timescale. Liaise with customers, suppliers & internal departments to ensure the information is free and flowing.

Knowledge of machinery design would be ideal. Experience of managing projects from initial concept to completion. Ability to work under pressure & to prioritize own workload. Strong-minded, self-motivated & attention to detail. HNC in Mechanical Engineering or other related qualifications equivalent or higher. Hydraulics, Pneumatics and any Electrical knowledge would be advantageous.
Mechanical Design Engineer Salary & Benefits Full time - Permanent position. Monday to Friday - 08:00am - 16:30 (early finish on Friday). Salary - 35,000 - 45,000 (DOE). Pension. Competitive annual leave allowance.
