Mechanical Design Engineer Up to £50K + Benefits We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join a leading designer and manufacturer of bespoke equipment used in various industries. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing equipment based on customer requirements and relevant standards and ensure completed equipment meets the design requirements. You will also be responsible for managing your own design projects from concept through to completion. Duties: Site survey Concept design, detail design and drawing using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD Technical documentation, calculations, and BOM through to manufacture Carry out stress analysis Selection of correct materials and bought-in items Producing drawings for fabrication and assembly Liaising with suppliers and clients Inspection of equipment to ensure design requirements have been met Maintaining records according to the company’s quality system Follow procedures contained in the company’s Environmental Management System, Safety Policy and Quality System, including both individual behaviour and design of equipment Required Skills and Experience for the Mechanical Design Engineer: Considerable Mechanical design engineering experience Good 3D design experience (AutoDesk Inventor experience would be an advantage, however not essential - Solidworks, Solid Edge, Creo will also be considered) Your Mechanical Design engineering experience should ideally encompass designing for sheet metal and welding fabrications Experience in designing special purpose machinery or plant equipment To learn more about this opportunity or any other Mechanical Design Engineering positions within Kadtech, please forward your CV to us.
