Up to SC level The Role: So, what will you be doing as a Missile Mechanical Architect? Analysing the overall product structure, mechanical interfaces, and architecture Conducting architectural trade-offs in collaboration with key stakeholders Promoting adherence to key design principles such as modularity, reusability, and design for assembly Assessing technology maturity and design complexity at the missile level Defining hardware requirements at the missile level Providing support during product design and program phase gate reviews Managing technical relationships with suppliers to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery Tracking and managing assigned budgets effectively What are we looking for in our next Missile Mechanical Architect? Ideally educated to degree level, or equivalent experience Experience of electro-mechanical & mechanical design Experience developing proving logic and leading the generation of compliance evidence Dedication to work towards delivery timelines and budgets We are also interested in a good awareness of broader engineering fields, such as Materials, Tolerancing, Configuration Control, Vibration, Shock, Fatigue, Six Sigma & Lean Design, Systems Engineering V-model, DFMEA This really is a fantastic opportunity for a Missile Mechanical Architect to progress their career.
