Their innovative solutions include vibratory screens, feeders, conveyors, and more, tailored to meet bespoke project requirements or selected from a standard product range. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer who is a competent 3D CAD modeller using SolidWorks or similar software to join a prestigious, growing company. You will contribute to impactful projects across diverse industries while benefiting from their commitment to innovation, efficiency, and quality. Responsibilities
Lead customer design projects from initial concept through to 3D modelling and 2D drawings for manufacturing and development Create CAD designs using SolidWorks, including assemblies, detailed drawings, and data management Design for manufacture (DFM), collaborating with fabrication teams and external partners for seamless project delivery Estimate and cost projects, as well as procure parts from suppliers Conduct SolidWorks FEA analysis for conceptual testing and visualisation Experiences Required
Qualified in an engineering discipline (e.g., time-served, HND, HNC, BSc, BEng, MSc) Proficient in SolidWorks 3D CAD modelling (experience with similar software like Inventor, Solid Edge, Creo, CATIA, Siemens NX, or Fusion 360 is also welcome) Strong understanding of component modelling and design for manufacture (DFM or DFMA) Able to use FEA tools for stress analysis, including SolidWorks Simulation or similar ANSYS, Abaqus, Nastran, Altair, or LS-DYNA (experience with these is advantageous) Hands-on experience in workshop fabrication and knowledge of sheet metal, metal pressing/folding, and weldments is desirable Package
37 Hours P/W Monday to Thursday 8am to 4pm, Fridays 8am to 3:30pm Pension NEST 33 Days Holiday Including Bank Holidays and Christmas Shutdown
