KO2’s client, a leading design consultancy based in Newcastle, is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their innovative team. Specializing in cutting-edge agri-tech technology and remotely operated vehicles, this is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer who wants to make a real impact in the development of advanced engineering solutions.


The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with Creo, SolidWorks, or Inventor (the client is happy with any 3D Cad package), bringing expertise in 3D modelling and mechanical design. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be involved in the entire product lifecycle, from concept development to manufacturing, ensuring top-notch performance and functionality in all designs.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop mechanical systems for agri-tech and remotely operated vehicles
  • Utilize Creo, SolidWorks, or Inventor for 3D design and modelling
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless product development
  • Support the transition from prototype to production
  • Ensure all designs meet industry standards and client specifications


Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer using Creo, SolidWorks, or Inventor
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems and product development processes
  • Experience in agri-tech, robotics, or remotely operated vehicle sectors is advantageous
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
