MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER

to join our highly knowledgeable Engineering team, in a role that will literally take you out of this world! Your designs will protect and connect people around the globe and into space for our defense, aerospace, and telecommunication customers. As part of the Mechanical Design team, you’ll be: Creating models and drawings using 3D CAD in Solidworks. Controlling drawings and documents in accordance with BSC standards. Contributing to and completing research, design, and development activities. Providing technical assistance to customers, designing, developing, modeling, or testing activities on projects and products. Every day will be different. You’ll be working and learning with your Engineering colleagues and collaborating with our in-house Machine Shop, Production, and Sales teams. To be successful, you’ll have or be working towards the following: An HNC or equivalent level qualification in a mechanical discipline. Knowledge and experience in the following: Mechanical Design Principles and application. Use of CAD and other engineering design applications. Software modeling and test activities in engineering design. Contributing to technical reviews and discussions. Working in a team environment to complete projects. Researching topics, writing reports, and making recommendations. You’re also logical, result-focused, with a high attention to detail.
