Key Responsibilities: Provide technical design support for mechanical and critical support systems across Colt's Telco and Data Centre estate. Design and engineer mechanical and critical infrastructure systems to support Colt's technical data center operations. Develop expertise in industry best practices for mechanical system designs. Coordinate the performance, supply, and support of technical infrastructure suppliers. Support the development and implementation of technical and operational policies for infrastructure systems. Serve as a reference point for the business on safety-related matters concerning technical infrastructure. Assist with sales and operations activities requiring technical infrastructure expertise. Qualifications and Experience:
• Fluent in English. Being bilingual is an advantage, enabling effective communication across diverse teams and regions. • Academic qualifications in a relevant construction or engineering discipline. • Professional qualification e.g. chartered engineer / surveyor is advantageous. • Proven experience in mechanical design engineering, with a focus on critical infrastructure or data center environments. • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including HVAC, cooling, and other critical support systems for technical infrastructure. • Expertise in design best practices, safety standards, and operational policies for mechanical infrastructure. • Ability to coordinate and manage supplier performance, ensuring efficient delivery and support of technical solutions. • Excellent problem-solving skills, with experience conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions. • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across teams and regions; bilingual proficiency is an advantage.
