About Us:

We are a growing SME based in Leicester with a strong family-oriented ethos. Our company operates across construction, electrical, and mechanical sectors, undertaking a variety of projects ranging from steel portal frame buildings to office fit-outs and veterinary practices. Our portfolio includes notable clients such as Wickes, Halfords, Travis Perkins, and Jewsons, as well as significant projects with Siemens and Vaillant. As we continue to expand, we are looking for a skilled Mechanical Designer to join our team. This role is based predominantly in the office, with occasional site visits as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Mechanical Design:

Create detailed mechanical designs for a range of projects, including retail, industrial, and commercial spaces. CAD and Revit Expertise:

Develop high-quality 2D and 3D CAD drawings using Revit and Stabicad software. Project Support:

Assist with smaller project designs and collaborate on larger mechanical installations. Multifunctional Role:

Support the team by contributing to CAD drawings for construction projects and smaller mechanical designs. Estimating:

If experienced, assist with estimating project costs and preparing budgets. Training can be provided if this is a development area. Mentorship:

Collaborate with and support the trainee joining the department, sharing knowledge and expertise.

What We're Looking For:

Proven experience in mechanical design, ideally in a construction or building services context. Proficiency in CAD software, Revit, and Stabicad. Ability to manage workload effectively, balancing large-scale design work with smaller projects. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach. Flexibility to assist with estimating if required (desirable, not essential). A team player with good communication skills and a willingness to work in a dynamic and growing environment.
