Westlakes Recruit are currently searching for a number of Mechanical Designers on a long term contract basis to be located in any of the following locations: Warrington, Bristol, Preston, with hybrid working from home options.
Key Duties:
Create and maintain design documents throughout the design lifecycle following ISO standards, meeting time, cost and quality requirements. Collaborate effectively with Design and other functional teams to achieve project goals. Develop innovative design solutions and solutions to manufacturing/installation issues. Assist senior designers with a range of activities including estimates, quality control, and test procedures. Fulfill Design Lead responsibilities for single discipline low-risk projects. Maintain expertise in best practices across the design lifecycle, including customs and standards, and company policies (health & safety, diversity, etc.).
Essential Experience of the Mechanical CAD Designer:
You are someone who owns and delivers, who champions high performance and is courageous to challenge the status. Knowledge of CAD tools and General Engineering Drawing Practice. Ability to build strong and influential relationships with key stakeholders.
Qualifications for the Mechanical CAD Designer:
Minimum HNC/HND in Engineering, or equivalent experience.
