Mechanical & Electrical Design Engineers QODA Consulting has opportunities for Mechanical and Electrical designers who are enthusiastic, proactive, and passionate about the built environment. Our London office has an immediate opening for full-time Mechanical & Electrical Design Engineers to grow our existing engineering team. As a member of the London engineering team, you will report to a Senior Engineer or above and be responsible for supporting design work on a range of projects using both current industry benchmarks and internal standards. With guidance from a senior team member, you will program your deliverables in a timely manner and produce accurate project information. Key accountabilities: Demonstrate reasonable knowledge in mechanical and electrical engineering Continued development via CPD of all relevant disciplines Detailed and accurate calculations and drawings in relevant disciplines Develop, present and deliver technical solutions in accordance with client brief Liaise with Clients, Architects, and other members of the external design team Support other members of the project teams Work and deliver designs within program time scales Maintain overview of project work and provide updates as required to line manager/project manager Report any feedback or issues concerning the project from clients Develop relationships with external team members for Business Development opportunities We are offering the following: Pension with 8% company contribution 25 days paid annual leave Death in service insurance Payment of one professional membership subscription Cycle to work scheme A hybrid work environment Electric vehicle purchase scheme Excellent opportunities for career growth Continued personal development and training We are looking for enthusiastic, proactive, motivated engineers with various levels of experience in an MEP design office with the ability to be both a team player and to self-manage under limited supervision. Good presentation and interpersonal skills are essential, as well as comfort working with colleagues, external design team members, and clients of all levels. Requirements and ideal skills: A degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Demonstrate good written and oral skills Working towards relevant professional qualifications Minimum two years’ experience within an engineering environment Experience across a wide variety of project work Practical knowledge of project work coupled with an understanding of project management tools Understanding of the deliverables associated with projects within the public and private sectors Understanding of project co-ordination Team player Appreciates the need for the application of consistent standards and metrics Ability to work under limited supervision Ability to manage workload Experience with Bluebeam Experience with CAD and Revit Experience using IES or HEVACOMP software packages We have opportunities in the following regional office: London Studies have shown that women and people of colour are less likely to apply for jobs unless they meet every single qualification.
