Competitive What you'll be doing: Perform and supervise high level calibration/repair of Mechanical test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment (TMDE) including resource management and calibration workload signoff Write, review and approve calibration procedures and measurement uncertainty budgets Take part in UKAS (ISO 17025) audits and quickly achieve UKAS signatory status Deliver specific, target driven on-the-job training/experiential learning to apprentices/lesser experienced team members Professional communication with technical stakeholders including consultation on new measurement technologies Your skills and experiences: Essential: Extensive experience in a precision Mechanical metrology laboratory environment Understanding of quality systems & standards (ISO 17025/ISO 9001) Relevant academic qualification (STEM Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent) Desirable: Existing UKAS signatory status for Mechanical Calibrations (Pressure, Mass, Torque, Force) Experience in creation of measurement uncertainty budgets to ISO 17025 level Experience in use of automation software (Fluke Metcal, Met/Track, Met/Teams, Labview) Benefits: You'll receive benefits including a competitive pension scheme, enhanced annual leave incentive and a Company contributed Share Incentive Plan. ICS Mechanical supports calibrations in a dedicated laboratory as well as on-site around the Barrow Submarines Site.
