We are working with an industry-leading power generation business in the recruitment of a mechanical engineer to join their team.

The role will be to support their projects from start to finish, collaborating with colleagues along the way to ensure the projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Your Responsibilities:

Helping design innovative systems from first principles, from concept through to detailed design, while maintaining technical excellence. Supporting on-schedule delivery by effective management of your project deliverables. Managing supplier progress, holding regular meetings, and providing in-person support. Preparing technical documentation and design calculations for peer review, and checking third-party documentation. Preparing for and carrying out testing, commissioning, and mobilization activities. Liaising with other business functions, including finance and HSSEQ, for support and guidance.

The Mechanical Engineer: A degree-level qualification, or equivalent, in a technical field, such as Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, Offshore Engineering, Marine Engineering, or Naval Architecture. The ability to work with Autodesk Inventor software. Proficiency in hand calculations, through to Staad and FEA.
