Position 1 Recruitment is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our client's manufacturing site on the outskirts of Diss.

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring equipment operates efficiently through proactive maintenance and quick response to breakdowns. Working alongside the Engineering Team Leader, you will address issues promptly while adhering to the company's values of Health & Safety, customer service, and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:

Support continuous improvement initiatives across the site. Understand and be able to carry out plant start-up and shutdown procedures. Perform checks and tests on plant and equipment as required by the PPM (Planned Preventive Maintenance) schedule or other sources. Ensure all work is logged in the Planned Maintenance System. Read and follow machine manufacturers' handbook instructions and drawings. Assist in training colleagues from other departments as required. Be available to work during plant shutdowns for maintenance tasks or continuous improvement projects. Understand and adhere to the company's ISO 9001 procedures and work instructions. Work independently with minimal supervision, maintaining clear communication with colleagues and supervisors. Support a positive approach towards Health & Safety, ensuring corporate requirements are met efficiently and on time. Take responsibility for your own health and safety and the safety of others within your control.

Requirements: Engineering experience in mechanical/electrical roles within manufacturing environments. Ability to work independently, achieve objectives, and take responsibility for tasks. Recognised engineering qualifications required.

Shift Patterns available: Full-time, permanent position working Panama shifts (06:00 AM - 06:00 PM). • Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday. • Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday.

Full-time, permanent position working Monday to Thursday 13:00 PM till 23:00 PM.

Benefits: Pension scheme with 4% employee and company contributions, increasing to 6% after 5 years and 7% after 10 years.
