Mechanical Engineer - Foundry Environment
Location: Derbyshire
Salary: £48,000 per annum + Monthly Bonus
Shift Pattern: Panama Days Shift
Key Responsibilities of the Mechanical Engineer:
Preventative Maintenance & Repairs:
Perform routine and reactive maintenance on foundry equipment and machinery to minimize downtime. Hydraulics & Pneumatics Expertise:
Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems, ensuring optimal performance and safety. Interpret Engineering Drawings:
Read and work from detailed mechanical engineering drawings for the installation, repair, and maintenance of machinery. Health & Safety:
Adhere to safety standards and practices, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues. The Ideal Mechanical Engineer:
Experience:
Proven background as a Mechanical Engineer, ideally within a foundry, heavy industrial, or manufacturing setting. Technical Skills:
Strong understanding and practical experience with hydraulics and pneumatics systems. Drawings Interpretation:
Ability to accurately read and work from complex mechanical engineering drawings. Qualifications:
Relevant engineering qualifications (NVQ, HNC, or equivalent) would be advantageous. Package Offered to the Mechanical Engineer:
