FPS South / Grangemouth (site based) Background
FPS is a 100% INEOS-owned integrated oil and gas liquid transportation and processing system with a nominal capacity in excess of one million barrels per day serving the central area of the North Sea. Oil and gas liquids from over 50 offshore fields and St Fergus flow through pipelines into FPS. FPS transports crude oil and gas liquids from offshore and onshore entry points, processes the liquids at Kinneil and redelivers to the customer Forties Blend crude oil at Hound Point and either Raw Gas or fractionated Gas Products at Grangemouth. Job Purpose
Reporting to the Mechanical Engineering Team Lead, the post holder will provide Mechanical Engineering support to the Kinneil Asset and turnaround teams. Principal Accountabilities
The position is required to adhere to the INEOS 20 Principles. Specifically… Responsible for maintaining the asset and protective systems integrity. (Integrity Management) Mechanical Responsibilities
Provide worklist input and support to TAR scope. Provide day-to-day discipline technical support for the site (e.g. troubleshooting). Responsible for technical review of Asset Mechanical MOCs (Management of Change). Own and implement the Repair Orders for the Kinneil Asset (including steam systems). Ensure all regulatory compliance and all postponement requests are implemented in good time. Own the inspection list in conjunction with the planning team to ensure all WSE inspections are completed on time. Be accountable for all mechanical engineering queries/activities coming from the Operations team. Contribute to safety reviews, risk assessments, and investigations as the mechanical focal point. Act as asset mechanical focal point for any site projects, providing necessary Mechanical support. Contribute to site Risk Based Assessment (RBA). Specify, scope, and execute asset mechanical improvements and ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards. Management and regular reporting of Cost Centres assigned to specific Mechanical repairs/projects. Special Features
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills and ability to build positive relationships with plant personnel. Ability to work across multiple disciplines/departments and throughout all levels of the organization in a persuasive and credible manner. Self-starter with internal drive to complete tasks/objectives within target dates/deadlines. Ability to prioritise work - ensure important items are done. Ability to manage, progress, and deliver multiple competing priorities. Demonstrated problem-solving skills. Strong planning and organizational skills. Ability to manage interfaces with other internal and external groups. Qualifications and Technical Experience
Minimum Qualifications: Degree in Mechanical Engineering. 3 years+ experience. Chartered Engineer, or working towards. Experience in Oil & Gas or Chemical Industries. Strong technical skills and knowledge as required. Fundamental knowledge of applicable codes & standards. Knowledge of functional equipment design and repair. How to Apply
