Mechanical Engineer (Heating & Ventilation)
Mechanical Engineer focuses on delivering planned preventative maintenance (ppm) across a broad range of heating and ventilation systems, including heavy plant equipment.
What the role involves
- Delivering planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across a broad range of heating and ventilation systems, including heavy plant equipment.
- Resolve mechanical issues arising from helpdesk requests and operational reports.
- Carry out servicing and maintenance of Heating and ventilation systems across the station.
- Repair mechanical plant such as pumps, fans, filters, motors, drives, and heater coils.
- Ensure all work complies with strict health, safety, and quality standards in line with nuclear site requirements.
- Actively participate in training and competency development to maintain site authorisations and industry certifications.
Skills and requirements
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering.
- Proven experience maintaining heating and ventilation systems within an industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of health & safety regulations and safe systems of work.
