Job Overview: Our client is seeking a highly skilled Engineer with a proven, hands-on background in sheet metal fabrication or welding/fabrication. Key Abilities: Demonstrable hands-on engineering skills Ability to understand and resolve engineering-related issues Capable of assisting and working with different manufacturing teams as needed Excellent focus on quality and attention to detail Strong organisational, numeracy, and computer literacy skills Skill in interpreting customer requirements and selecting appropriate products Organised and responsive in a timely and effective manner Key Duties: Create folding, bushing, and welding drawings and jig designs from existing files to assist manufacturing Instruct and implement new manufacturing methods directly to works orders and advise operators on initial manufacturing techniques Review existing manufacturing processes and implement improvements where necessary Monitor and ensure the quality of manufactured products Ideal Candidate: Hands-on background within sheet metal fabrication or welding/fabrication Understanding of CAD software Strong engineering background with demonstrable skills Excellent organisational and communication skills Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks efficiently Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills Benefits: Ongoing professional development and training opportunities Collaborative and supportive working environment Opportunities for career advancement
