Mechanical Engineer (Mechanical Craft Isolations) - Leven - £300-£350 per day - 6 months+
My client, a FTSE 100 company, is on the hunt for a Mechanical Engineer with the ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and P&ID's, as well as able to confirm P&ID accuracy in the field.
The aim is to ensure safe isolation of plant, associated schedules are compiled and then physically executed in a timely manner within an operational window, using current legislation and company standards.
Key Accountabilities:
To provide safe isolation solutions to comply with legislation and ensure that site can demonstrate effective and safe LOTO procedures.
Excellent understanding of engineering LOTO strategies for safety system maintenance.
Ensure P&ID's are checked against physical routes, updated and red-lined where necessary, and liaise with CAD team to update.
Ensure all mechanical site P&ID's and associated documents are up to date and readily accessible/available.
Develop isolation schedules and documentation.
Support LOTO install during commissioning of I/O testing, coordinating with both electrical, mechanical & C&I teams. (some out of hours work anticipated during IO commissioning only in April/May 2024)
Prepare weekly progress reports and updates to key stakeholders and Project leads.
At all times adhere to Diageo health and safety, environmental and food safety standards.
At all times work to all applicable legislative procedures.
Maintain a safe and organised workplace environment through adherence to the Safety and 5S MMS practices.
