Our M&E department is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join the team in Nottingham. The successful candidate will be required to undertake the following and will be given hands-on support to develop their skills further to progress their career with this business: Assume responsibility for individual projects Preparing outline and detailed designs for tender (specification and drawings) Preparing technical reports Undertaking surveys and detailed calculations Direct liaison with clients and contractors Attend project and design team meetings (office and site). Provide management of and/or technical support to Senior members of staff in the day-to-day running of the office Comply with the Firm’s Policies, Procedures and Quality Management Systems. The successful candidate’s essential requirements: HNC/D or degree in relevant field (degree is preferred) Minimum 5 years’ post-graduate design experience in consultancy or contracting. Understanding of current building regulations Understanding of the construction industry design and procurement process Understanding of CIBSE guides Experience using AutoCAD, Revit, IES, and Hevacomp (or equivalent) The successful candidate should have sound verbal and written communication skills, be self-motivated, and ambitious to progress. They will be capable of working as part of a team but also use initiative and manage their own workload.
