Mechanical Engineer

to join a dynamic team providing prompt, efficient, and professional support for both planned and reactive maintenance. This role involves working on a wide range of mechanical systems and building services to ensure compliance, safety, and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities:

Mechanical Maintenance:

Diagnose and rectify faults on building services systems, including motors, pumps, air conditioning (splits), air handling units, pressurisation systems, fan coil units, and heating and ventilation systems. PPM and Reactive Maintenance:

Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and respond to emergencies, addressing mechanical and water hygiene tasks promptly. Mechanical Installations:

Lead on installation, replacement, and project work, including changing valves, actuators, condensate pumps, and other mechanical components. System Diagnostics:

Fault-find and rectify issues on controls systems, BMS (Trend 963), and mechanical equipment. Water Treatment:

Perform tasks such as de-scaling, temperature recording, and flushing regimes. Documentation and Records:

Maintain accurate records of work performed, inspections, and maintenance activities to meet audit requirements. Sub-contractor Management:

Supervise and monitor the work of sub-contractors on-site to ensure compliance and quality. Skills and Qualifications:

Qualified Mechanically C&G or equivalent. Experience working with a variety of mechanical systems, including HVAC, pumps, valves, and air handling units. Proficient in diagnosing and resolving faults on heating, ventilation, and BMS systems. Strong understanding of water treatment and hygiene tasks. Ability to carry out small installations and replacements. Familiarity with mechanical fault-finding. Comfortable working on building services tasks, including fabric duties as required. Competence with completing and maintaining accurate documentation. Flexible approach to work, able to manage individual tasks and collaborate as part of a team. Awareness of health and safety regulations, with a proactive attitude toward compliance.
