Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer with an understanding of electrical engineering principles to design, develop, and improve mechanical systems and components. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Key Responsibilities: Design, analyse, and develop mechanical systems and components for various projects, ensuring they meet performance, reliability, and safety standards. Conduct feasibility studies and design reviews to evaluate concepts and validate design specifications. Utilise CAD software to create detailed engineering drawings and documentation. Perform testing and validation of prototypes and systems, analysing results to identify areas for improvement. Provide technical support during the manufacturing process and assist with troubleshooting any issues that arise. Maintain accurate records of designs, calculations, and testing procedures. Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices, continuously seeking opportunities for innovation and improvement. Work with project managers to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Assist in the preparation of technical reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders. Collaborate with engineers to integrate electrical components and software systems into mechanical designs, ensuring compatibility and optimal performance. Work with manufacturers and suppliers to deliver required parts and machines Help assemble and maintain machines from time-to-time Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; a background in Electrical Engineering is a plus. Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer, Minimum 5 years experience. Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD). Familiarity with electrical engineering concepts and components, such as circuits, sensors, and control systems. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations.
