Job Type: Full-time Location: Essex and surrounding areas Salary: Competitive We are seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters and Field Service Engineers to join a well established company, covering a variety of sites and installations across Essex and surrounding regions. This role is ideal for candidates with a background in heavy engineering sectors, possessing strong knowledge and hands-on skills with rotating equipment. Day to Day of the role:

Conduct mechanical repairs and maintenance on rotating equipment such as turbines, pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, and valves. Utilise measuring equipment like micrometres, DTIs, and alignment tools proficiently. Complete workshop and field service activities, including reporting on findings, condition assessments, and recommendations. Communicate technical information effectively both verbally and in writing to peers and customers. Diagnose and fault-find on mechanical equipment related to heavy engineering sectors. Perform defect repairs and routine maintenance to meet manufacturer standards and legislative requirements. Work independently to identify and resolve mechanical system faults. Assist and lead on planned projects and outages as required. Manage work schedule effectively to ensure timely completion of tasks. Required Skills & Qualifications:

Full driving licence, preferably clean. Self-motivated with the ability to work individually and as part of a team. Time-served mechanical qualifications to ONC & HNC, NVQ, or equivalent. Clear and concise communication skills. Experience in fault finding, repair, installation, and commissioning. Good customer service skills and a high level of fitness. Ability to pass security clearances. Flexible and positive attitude, with availability for call-outs and working away from home when necessary. Relevant knowledge and experience within heavy engineering sectors. Benefits:
