Role Overview As a Mechanical Engineer on this high-profile site, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the seamless operation of mechanical systems and equipment. This involves performing detailed mechanical engineering design, conducting thorough inspections, and carrying out essential maintenance tasks. You will lead troubleshooting efforts, swiftly resolving any technical issues that arise, and develop preventive maintenance plans to uphold reliability and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Execute mechanical engineering design, inspection, and maintenance on a variety of high-security site equipment and systems. Lead and manage troubleshooting efforts, ensuring swift resolution of technical issues. Develop and implement comprehensive preventive maintenance plans. Ensure all activities comply with stringent safety and quality standards, as well as site operating procedures. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including safety, operations, and project management, to ensure smooth workflow and project completion.

Required Qualifications and Experience Active SC Clearance. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Demonstrable experience in mechanical engineering within a regulated, high-security environment, such as nuclear or defence. Strong background in plant maintenance and reliability, with a deep understanding of safety and compliance standards. Ability to work on-site five days a week, adhering to rigorous safety protocols and operational guidelines.
