Mechanical Engineer £48,200 per annum Wrexham Continental Days & Nights (2 Days/2 Nights/4 Off with both 10 and 18 day breaks) gap technical are proud to be representing this global manufacturing business in their search for a Mechanical Technician / Mechanical Engineer to work at their facility based near Wrexham. Performance Objectives Execute mechanical activities on-site as directed. Perform all planned maintenance tasks, change overs, and other additional work as required by engineering manager. Diagnose breakdown faults - mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and process. Ensure compliance with safety requirements and liaise and coordinate with other departments as required. Ensure equipment, materials, and tools are on-hand for work execution. Report resources and time utilized, job scope expansion, rework, or deferred maintenance as required, whilst keeping all tasks & activities logged and updated. Troubleshoot equipment problems and conduct basic root cause analysis and development of solutions. Provide technical support for all machine breakdowns and changeovers. Person Specification Apprentice trained to ONC / HNC / C&G Level 3. Able to read hydraulics / pneumatics circuits. Read and produce mechanical drawings. Experience in carrying out PPM on mechanical equipment. Knowledge of TPM / 6S / Continuous Improvement / Lean practices. Essential electrical and mechanical ability. Complex problem-solving and fault-finding experience. Strong attention to detail. Ability to work and learn independently. Apply Please send your CV via the Apply now option on the website.
