The objective of this 6-month work placement is to provide the undergraduate Mechanical Engineer with practical, hands-on experience in mechanical engineering design, project management, and collaboration within a leading energy solutions company. The placement will support the student's academic learning with industry-specific skills, knowledge, and professional development. Responsibilities:
Design Development: Assist in translating and developing conceptual designs into detailed mechanical engineering design packages that meet functional and contractual specifications. Collaborate with Electrical Design Engineers and CAD draughtsmen to produce design packages in accordance with required timescales and quality standards. Sales and Tender Support: Provide support during the sales stage of projects by preparing conceptual designs and tender documents. Ensure that tender preparation documents are completed within required timescales and meet quality standards. Project Support: Assist Project Managers during the installation, commissioning, and testing phases of projects. Ensure timely production of necessary documentation and provide technical support as needed. Participate in HAZOP and risk assessment studies. Health, Safety, and Quality Compliance: Adhere to Clarke Energy's Health, Safety, CDM, Environmental, and Quality management policies and procedures in all work undertaken.
