Scale: MG1-UP1 (currently £32,304 - £46,431 per annum) Pembrokeshire College has an exciting opportunity within the Faculty of Engineering and Computing for a Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering to join the current Engineering Team, based at our Main Campus in Haverfordwest. Salary Details:

UP2-UP3 (currently £48,153 - £49,934 per annum) Lecturers in Engineering are within a priority recruitment area for the College and therefore a relocation payment of up to £2000 will be considered for the successful candidate. Hours of Work:

Full Time - 37 hours per week (equivalent to 835 annual teaching hours) We welcome applications from those who are interested in fewer hours or part-time teaching. Contract Type:

46 days Annual Leave plus 8 Bank Holidays & College closure days per annum Qualifications: You will either be qualified or working towards a Level 4 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline. If you do not hold a recognised teaching qualification (such as PGCE), you will be required to undertake and achieve a PGCE within a specified timescale. The PGCE will be fully funded by Pembrokeshire College and you will be given the appropriate time to attend the in-house course. You will also be supported in gaining a TAQA Level 3 and an IQA Level 4 qualification during employment. We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic individual, with relevant industrial experience to join the Engineering team. You will have a Mechanical Engineering qualification and a passion for teaching, with a desire to pass your skills and knowledge on to engineering students across all levels of provision. Our state-of-the-art machine shop is equipped with advanced mechanical maintenance capabilities and a comprehensive range of materials testing facilities, access to industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor, a dedicated 3D printing room, as well as specialised spaces for pneumatics, hydraulics, and a process operations control room. These facilities create an innovative environment that cultivates the development of the next generation of Mechanical Engineers. Experience of working within the Engineering industry is essential and it would be highly advantageous for you to have knowledge of the emerging renewables sector developments within the region, though not essential.
