The successful candidate will run and develop the area within budget frames, procedures and overall objectives of the Mill.

The successful candidate will be responsible for: * Health and Safety in the Area of responsibility * Preventative maintenance and work order flow * Asset management and uptime of equipment * Customer service focus to production colleagues * Collaboration with other members of the engineering management team * Promotion and facilitation of lean, problem solving and RCA activities * Developing strong communication links and support to the site shift managers to aid the planning and execution of tasks * Leading and developing the craft resource, senior craft and apprentices, with improved competence and upskilling, with focus on good standards and discipline * Managing the supply of craft resource mill wide for efficient execution of maintenance * Operating as a key member of area planned maintenance shut process and execution * The successful candidate will be a member of the engineering duty rota * Ensuring that all employees are aware of and adhere to all applicable laws, agreements and rules relating to both the workplace and the external environment * Setting and achievement of Area budget * Monitoring and achieving KPI's - in particular uptime, engineering cost/tonne, and work completion * Management and coordination of internal and external resources and expertise * Effective maintenance, asset management and project engineering * Setting and carrying out objectives * Continuous improvement and problem solving * To apply for this role, you should: * Be educated to HND (or equivalent) in Engineering, and/or vast experience in a management position (Engineering degree preferred) * Have a recognised Engineering Apprenticeship * Possess an excellent knowledge and competence in maintenance engineering * Have an understanding of failure analysis and maintenance strategy * A good knowledge of plant processes and equipment * Be computer literate with working knowledge of 'Windows Office' suite * A good knowledge of plant management systemsust be self-motivated * What we offer you: * A competitive salary * Fantastic Contributory pension plan * Life assurance * Private medical insurance * A range of benefits to support your health and wellbeing * Opportunities to develop and grow * Full PPE and annual uniform/PPE allowance * On site Occupational Health * On-site staff canteen * Cycle to work scheme * Family friendly procedures including enhanced maternity leave and menopause procedure Rullion celebrates and supports diversity and is committed to ensuring equal opportunities for both employees and applicants.
