Job Title: Mechanical Engineering Manager Salary: Negotiable (range is available) Hours: Monday - Friday 8am - 4.30pm Location: West Bromwich, West Midlands This is an excellent opportunity to work and lead a highly skilled engineering team within a lower COMAH facility as their mechanical engineering manager.
The ideal mechanical engineering manager will have the following capability/experience:
Overall responsibility for the management of the Mechanical Engineering & Civil Engineering departments which includes 25 staff, and contractors as and when required. Mechanical maintenance department management. Mechanical project engineering management experience within an industrial manufacturing environment. Fluent in Computerised Maintenance Management Systems. Excellent personnel management skills. Safety, Health & Environmental - To maintain and promote the highest levels of safety and to meet all legal and statutory requirements, company rules and procedures. Liaison at all levels inside the company. Outside contacts typically include suppliers, contractors and agencies such as the HSE & insurance inspectors.
Qualifications required for the mechanical engineering manager:
HNC in Mechanical Engineering - Ideally a Mechanical Engineering Degree Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience as a mechanical engineering manager or similar position.
The role of mechanical engineering manager will require someone who is flexible in their approach to the role and able to deal with multiple complex jobs to meet the needs of the business. Internal and external training would be available to match the business needs and possible career opportunities.
