OHUK are currently looking for a Senior Mechanical Estimator to join one of the UKs leading MEP subcontractors who work within the Healthcare, science, commercial, industrial, and high-end residential sectors throughout London.
This is a full-time position with an option of a hybrid setup, their Head Office being based in Central London.
Duties:
Check tender information supplied with regard to sufficiency and adequacy for pricing and raise, record and inform appropriate personnel of any tender queries/clarifications. Define the requirements relating to specification, scope of work, interfaces, and other responsibilities including all limitations on the manner and timing of implementation and any other matters which might affect the cost for carrying out and completing the works. Define and agree tender lists for subcontract and supply works including checking to ensure adequacy in relation to their conformity with the company vendor database. Ensure that new companies to be considered complete pre-qualification questionnaires and are added to the approved database. Verify that each selected subcontractor and supplier is able to conform in all respects with the requirements in relation to both the compilation of the estimate and the performance required in accordance with the offer. Complete take-off of quantities as required. Compile accurate primes cost estimates compliant with the client or other agreed requirements. Ensure that all tender returns from subcontractors and suppliers are in full compliance with the requirements and are comparable with competing offers received. Requirements:
