Immediate Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced and motivated Mechanical Estimator to join our dynamic team at an M&E specialist building services subcontractor. As part of our growing business, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive mechanical estimates for a wide range of projects, from small works to projects valued up to £3 million. The successful candidate will play a key role in estimating costs, preparing bids, and supporting our project delivery teams. Key Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed mechanical estimates for new build, refurbishment, and fit-out projects. Analyze project drawings, specifications, and other related documents to accurately determine the scope of work and materials required. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and suppliers to gather quotes, identify project requirements, and assess any risks or challenges. Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients. Present clear and comprehensive cost breakdowns to clients and senior management. Manage multiple tenders simultaneously, ensuring accuracy and timely submission of bids. Provide advice on cost-effective solutions and alternative products or materials when required. Monitor the cost control process during project execution and contribute to achieving profit margins. Attend project meetings, including pre-tender and post-tender reviews, when necessary. Key Requirements:

Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator within the M&E or building services sector. Experience estimating for a range of project types including new build, refurbishment, and fit-out, with values from small works up to £3 million. Strong understanding of mechanical building services systems (HVAC, plumbing, etc.). Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Solid knowledge of relevant building codes, regulations, and standards. Proficient in MS Office applications. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Strong attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines. Benefits:
