RESPONSIBILITIES

Overseeing all aspects of the estimating process at a commercial level, supporting the internal team and maintaining relationships with clients. Supply and deliver high quality estimates using Trimble estimating software. Accurately use drawings to measure material and quantities in accordance with the specifications. Distinguish appropriate suppliers and subcontractors from the company’s supplier database or the client’s preferred supplier list (PSL). Produce enquiries, obtain, and analyse quotes for tender requirements from sub-contractors and suppliers. Organise detailed price lists and bills of quantities of everything needed on each project to help inform the tender bid submission. Monitor, report and follow up on estimates submitted using internal systems. Survey sites and attend various meetings. These may be on Teams or in person. Complete project handover to the project team on successful tenders. Ensure compliance with the company’s latest policies and stay up to date with any changes to company procedures. PERSONAL QUALITIES

The successful candidate will need to be enthusiastic and work effectively as part of a team. Outstanding communication skills are required as it is vital that you can communicate in a fluent and positive manner with other team members and clients. A driven individual with a high level of IT literacy with experience in Microsoft Office. Punctuality and organisational skills are a must, requiring both analytical and problem-solving skills. An overall knowledge and understanding of a wide variety of mechanical systems and their installation methods is essential. ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

You must have experience as a Mechanical Building Services Estimator on large scale new build and refurbishment commercial projects. Experience in Trimble estimating software is desirable. HNC in Building Services is desirable but not essential. Strong leadership skills and the ability to work as part of a wider team are required. Excellent people management skills and the ability to motivate others around them. Ability to prioritise, organise and multitask to ensure that timescales are met through effective planning. Candidates must hold a full UK driving license. TYPICAL WORKING WEEK

The contract would be based on 40 hours per week, 8AM to 5PM Monday to Thursday and 8AM to 4PM Friday based at our Talbot Green office. What’s on offer:

£40,000-£55,000 per year depending on experience. Salary to be confirmed based on qualifications and experience.
