Questech are recruiting on behalf of a company we are working with based in Doncaster. They have a high reputation and are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join their team.
Monday - Friday 7am - 5pm. Once the fitter understands the plant and is established, they will be moved onto a shift that works weekends with two days off mid-week.
Role Responsibilities:
Routine and preventative maintenance on mechanical systems and machinery.
Hard face Welding.
Diagnose and repair mechanical faults to minimise downtime.
Collaborate with the engineering team to improve equipment reliability and performance.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies.
Skills and Experience Required:
Proven experience as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, preferably within a heavy engineering environment.
Apprentice trained NVQ L3 or equivalent.
Experience with gearboxes, hydraulics, conveyors, and motors.
Welding experience.
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in reading technical drawings and manuals.
Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
