We are recruiting experienced Mechanical Fitters to join a leading engineering company working on specialist projects for deployable infrastructure. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-quality builds and project delivery.
Candidate must be able to provide 3 years' worth of employment references and must be eligible to obtain basic security clearance. Key Responsibilities: Assemble and build projects using engineering drawings and design data. Support production managers in meeting deadlines and maintaining budget requirements. Take part in continuous improvement initiatives, including lean manufacturing and 5S processes. Ensure all equipment and tooling needs are identified and reported. Attend production meetings when required. Requirements: Experience in mechanical fitting, assembly, or joining, preferably in automotive or heavy industry. Skilled in drilling aluminium components and installing blind rivets with pneumatic tools. Completion of an apprenticeship (City & Guilds or equivalent) in Vehicle Body Building, Mechanical Fitting, or Manufacturing and Assembly. Ability to read and work from engineering drawings and technical designs. Knowledge of workshop processes, production methods, and safety standards. Strong communication skills and a proactive team-oriented approach. What We Offer: Overtime opportunities with competitive pay rates.
