About the Role
As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be an integral part of the Maintenance Team, providing essential support to ensure the smooth operation of hydraulic press systems and other on-site machinery. Your primary responsibilities will include: Preventive and reactive maintenance of hydraulic press systems. Promptly responding to breakdowns to minimize downtime. Supporting engineering and maintenance across the site. Servicing and monitoring hydraulic systems. Implementing improvement projects to enhance press reliability. Assisting in training apprentices as part of the team's growth.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will bring: Analytical and logical reasoning skills. A Level 3 NVQ/BTEC qualification (or equivalent). A strong engineering background, particularly in heavy plant equipment. Proven expertise in hydraulic press operation. Flexibility and a proactive approach to maintenance tasks.
