Trade Qualified Mechanical Fitter

to join our Delivery Team to work predominantly with our team in the

Eastern suburbs of Melbourne

operating from our Mitcham depot. Your main goal will be to take ownership of and ensure timely mechanical maintenance support for pumping stations, treatment plants, and storage facilities. Reporting to the Delivery Team leader, your ability to provide support safely and to best practice will set you above everyone else. Working in a fast-paced environment which is dynamic in nature, you will have the confidence to work within a multi-disciplined team. Opportunities to gain further skills and knowledge will be made available to someone who wants to do and learn more. You’ll be responsible for several key activities including:

Be a safety champion within your team Provide routine maintenance and project work on all assets Ensure daily maintenance, diagnosis, repair, and testing of all mechanical equipment faults is conducted in a safe and timely manner Coordinate subcontractors and ensure compliance with Ventia and work and safety standards Monitor subcontractors’ performance to ensure project plans and milestones are met Complete all work orders and purchase orders in a timely manner Actively communicate and liaise with all team members About you Experience, ideally in the utilities, oil and gas, mining, or large scale FMCG industry Trade Qualified Mechanical Fitter Demonstrated experience in Water and/or Waste-Water infrastructure projects White card Heavy Rigid Licence is an advantage Ability to work night shift on shutdowns or when required Ability to participate in the on-call roster Diversity Ventia is enriched by the diverse experiences, talents, and cultures that our people bring to the organisation, while celebrating and respecting the communities we operate in.
