The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of day-to-day fabrication and engineering maintenance activities, ensuring work is carried out to the highest standards and maximizing machine efficiencies. The jobholder will work on a rotating double days shift pattern and be responsible for strong and clear communication links between shifts and relevant departments. The ideal candidate will come from a commissioning and installation background, ideally with experience of packaging, filling, and sealing machinery, but this is by no means a necessity. They should be able to work on their own initiative, be a time-served engineer with mechanical bias (but multi-skilled), and have food manufacturing experience. If you have worked on new machinery installations, it would be advantageous. Additionally, the candidate must be able and willing to clean filter pumps and perform general mechanical work on pumps, conveyors, filters, and other manufacturing machinery. There is a huge amount of training on offer, so the successful candidate will be in line to broaden their skills considerably.
