CS 30869 Mechanical Fitter Knaresborough Salary: 34,000 + 5 % bonus + benefits Alecto Recruitment is working with their client looking for a Mechanical Fitter to join their Renewable Energy Plant on a full-time basis in Knaresborough.

This role has 2 shift patterns which are: Week 1 - 8am - 4pm Monday to Friday Week 2 - 10pm - 6am Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities: Mechanical Maintenance: Rectify problems on mechanical assets such as conveyor belts, pumps, gearboxes, valves, and cranes, ensuring minimal downtime and operational efficiency. Fabrication & Workshop Duties: Carry out fabrication work and general workshop duties, including operating workshop machinery for fabrication and refurbishment tasks. Preventative & Reactive Maintenance: Be responsible for Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance work, maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality. Outage Participation: Assist with and actively participate in planned outages, ensuring efficient and effective execution of maintenance tasks. Communication: Promptly communicate problems and concerns through line management to ensure quick and effective resolution. KPI Achievement: Assist in delivering Maintenance Team Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), contributing to the team's success. Compliance & Safety: Ensure full compliance with Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental standards, policies, and procedures. Work safely and efficiently according to site safety rules, under a safe system of work. Incident Reporting: Report any accidents, incidents, and near misses in a timely manner to maintain a safe working environment. Qualifications: Time Served Mechanical Technical Apprenticeship Level 3 NVQ3/ BTEC Maintenance Engineering CSE/GCSE equivalent IOSH Managing safely - desirable

Required Skills and Experience: Proven knowledge and hands-on experience working with various mechanical systems, including: Conveyor belts Valves Gearboxes Hydraulic and pneumatic systems Fabrication work Technical Proficiency: Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical documents to guide maintenance and repair work. Experience in writing detailed Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) to ensure safety and compliance during maintenance operations.
