They are known for innovation and quality and are looking for a skilled and motivated Mechanical Fitter to join their dynamic team. Key skills required for the Mechanical Fitter vacancy:
To work from mechanical engineering drawings/schematics and pneumatic diagrams to assemble bespoke machinery. Experience working with/fitting pneumatic and hydraulic systems onto special purpose machinery. Previous experience with machine frame assembly and working with and putting together aluminium profiles. Experience fitting linear slides, rotary tables, jigs & fittings. Organised & working to a high standard, ensuring contractors are keeping work areas clean and tidy. Experience working in a similar environment: automated machinery, SPM, packaging systems, vision inspection machinery, robotic systems, pick & place robots, warehouse automation machinery, bagging machinery, end of line systems. Conduct mechanical testing and troubleshooting to ensure machinery operates efficiently. Collaborate with the design and engineering teams to ensure high standards of build quality. Minimum Requirements:
Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter, ideally within the special-purpose machinery sector. Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments. A problem-solver with excellent attention to detail and a focus on quality. Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment. NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
