Are you a skilled Mechanical Fitter seeking a role with a company that has fantastic staff longevity in a recession-proof industry? About the Role We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our well-established team in Widnes. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to contribute to our site's maintenance, improvement, and operational efficiency. Responsibilities Performing preventative and reactive maintenance across the site. Undertaking repairs on various machinery, including hydraulics, pumps, gearboxes, and conveyors. Participating in Continuous Improvement projects. Carrying out fabrication and welding duties. Communicating effectively with multiple departments regarding maintenance issues. Adhere to strict health and safety guidelines. Complete duties outdoors, at height, and in confined spaces as required. Ensuring all maintenance reporting is accurate and complete. Qualifications Time-served apprenticeship in mechanical engineering or a relevant mechanical engineering qualification. Skills Fabrication and welding skills are desirable. Person Specification Hardworking and self-driven. Confident in the ability to work independently. Shift Pattern Week 1: Monday - Friday, 06:00 - 14:00. Week 2: Monday - Friday, 14:00 - 22:00.
