Join Wight Building Materials, a Joint Venture of Aggregate Industries and Eurovia, on the Isle of Wight as a Mechanical Fitting Engineer, where you’ll play a critical role in maintaining and improving our fixed and mobile plant across the site. As part of the Engineering Department, you’ll contribute to safety excellence, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement across the operation. This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge equipment, collaborate with skilled teams, and make a lasting impact on a business that’s vital to the Isle of Wight’s construction industry. This role entails a Monday to Friday working pattern with the occasional weekend work paid in overtime. Who You Are

You’re a skilled and motivated professional with a strong background in mechanical and fixed plant maintenance. Your technical expertise and commitment to safety make you an asset to any team. Here’s what makes you a great fit: Minimum Level 3 qualification in engineering is preferred or a time served apprenticeship. Experienced and time served mechanical fitters will also be considered. Proven experience in industrial mechanical fixed and mobile plant maintenance, including pneumatic and hydraulic systems. Training can be given to cover any gaps in experience. Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to following processes and procedures.
