Mechanical Fitter with Welding or Electrical Experience

to join our workshop team. The successful candidate will work on fabrication projects, performing mechanical fitting and welding tasks to high-quality standards. The role requires the ability to read and interpret CAD/fabrication drawings and contribute to projects with precision and efficiency. The position involves working away from the base in Ayrshire and requires offshore and overseas working. Key Responsibilities Fabrication and Assembly: Carry out mechanical fitting, electrical and general welding tasks as per project specifications. Fabricate components based on CAD and fabrication drawings. Workshop Operations: Assist with the assembly and testing of fabricated components. Operate general fabrication/workshop machinery. CAD and Drawing Interpretation: Read and interpret CAD/fabrication drawings to ensure accurate execution of projects. Collaborate with engineers and designers to clarify technical specifications. Health and Safety Compliance: Adhere to workshop safety procedures and guidelines. Conduct regular checks on tools and equipment to maintain a safe working environment. Required Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter with welding expertise. Proficiency in reading and interpreting CAD/fabrication drawings. Competence in MIG, TIG, or Stick welding (certifications are a plus). Strong understanding of workshop tools, machinery, and fabrication processes. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Ability and flexibility to work abroad.
