We are urgently recruiting Mechanical Fitters for long-term temporary positions with our client, the world's leading supplier of temporary power solutions. We are looking to recruit experienced, well-motivated Mechanical Fitters. Working as part of a team, your main responsibilities will be the mechanical assembly of large generator sets. Experience of working in an industrial/manufacturing or automotive environment would be advantageous, assembling mechanical components.

Candidates should therefore be well-trained and qualified, preferably with experience in a modern manufacturing or automotive environment. A safety-conscious attitude, ability to work under one's initiative, and a flexible approach are also essential requirements for this position. Key Responsibilities: Work as part of a team with electrical fitters and semi-skilled fitters to assemble generator sets. Ensure all plant and electrical equipment is maintained to minimum legal standards. Ensure health and safety procedures are maintained at all times. Approach to Job: The job holder will be energetic, team-oriented, approachable, flexible, hands-on, and a self-starter with a natural ability to motivate others in achieving set objectives. The working environment is manufacturing and plant-based to facilitate a strong communication link between all departments. Visibility and support with production on the factory floor will be required. Experience & Education – Essential Qualification in Mechanical discipline Team coordination skills Effective communicator Organised approach Familiarity with systems Interpret electrical schematics & instrumentation drawings Experience & Education – Desirable Engineering HNC standard minimum At least 3 years’ experience Skills & Attributes – Essential Organised – systems oriented Detail and accuracy oriented Problem-solving ability & logical decision-making thought process. Actively shares knowledge PC literate – Excel/Word etc. Personal Qualities – Essential Good interpersonal and communication skills Results oriented – gets things done Takes accountability Pragmatic – can-do attitude Analytical – can interpret and use numbers People management skills – able to work with and through people to make the most of their skills. Accurate and honest Desire to learn Flexible/reliable/conscientious Hours:

Dayshift - Monday to Thursday or Tuesday to Friday – 0630 to 0730 start times (40 hours basic working week). Overtime available.
