Mechanical Inspector £26-£34K DOE 40 Hours per week We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Inspector to join one of the UK's most comprehensive manufacturers of precision castings Based in Halstead, Essex to work in a climate-controlled inspection lab. The ideal candidate will need CMM experience (Coordinate Measuring Machine) The Role You will be responsible for measuring both un-machined and machined castings using CMM and hand-held measuring equipment, working to demanding aerospace standards. Experience in programming and operating CMM and similar measuring devices. Carry out final inspection, FAIR and in process inspections on castings. Understanding of CMM programming. QCT software would be advantageous. Skills Experience in CMM operating/programming Understand component drawings. Experience of working in the aerospace/defence sectors is desirable. Experience of working to ISO9001 /AS9100 quality approvals. Working Hours Rotating shift pattern of one-week earlies (07:00 – 15:00) and one-week lates (15:00 – 23:00), or permanent lates if that suits the candidate. Shifts will start after an initial period of no more than 3-months on days Pay £26- £34K DOE + £1.50 PH working late shift 23 days holiday + Bank Holidays Pension
