Mechanical Instructor (Hull)

Humberside Engineering Training Association (HETA) is a rapidly expanding Group Training Association (GTA) with training centres in Hull, Stallingborough, and Scunthorpe. HETA provides engineering apprentices and adult skills training for hundreds of companies in Yorkshire and Humberside. We recruit industry specialists who want to make the career change to delivering training and skills. We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer who feels they have the right skills and attributes to pass on their knowledge and experience to the next generation of engineers. Some process experience is desirable but not essential. This position is based at the HETA training centre in Hull and entails delivering high-quality apprenticeship and commercial training for our client companies. The successful applicant must have experience in: Mechanical Planned and Reactive Maintenance. Lathe/Milling Machine Operation. Safe Use of Hand Tools. Hydraulics or Pneumatics. Health and Safety Practices and Procedures. A working knowledge of the chemical process industry and/or CAD is desirable but not essential. The successful applicant also needs: A minimum of Level 3 Engineering Qualification. Good Interpersonal and Computer Skills. Full Driving Licence. While assessor and teaching qualifications are desirable, they are not essential as full support will be given in the development of necessary skills. HETA is committed to safeguarding our learners, and successful applicants will be required to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, and where necessary, to register on a suitable teacher training programme.
