As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance work within plant rooms and communal areas. This role requires a positive person, with the ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team. Responsibilities:
Repair and maintain plumbing, HVAC and pipe work within plant rooms and communal areas. This can include unblocking toilets, repairing leaks, plant room walk arounds, legionella checks, water temperature checks, fire suppression checks, and supporting subcontractors ensuring all paperwork is completed. Carrying out planned maintenance tasks as instructed by the management and support team. Responding to emergency maintenance tasks as instructed by the management and support teams. Completing paperwork. Ensuring all health and safety regulations are adhered to. Requirements:
Mechanically qualified – plumbing / HVAC / Mechanical Engineering (degree qualified individuals considered, but must have hands-on experience). Good all-round building maintenance experience. Previous experience within commercial buildings essential. Previous experience within a research environment beneficial, but not essential.
